ABOUT
Our Leadership
Gifted & Biblically-Qualified Men Serving God’s People Under Christ.
Christ is the one, supreme authority for the church (1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 1:22; Colossians 1:18). Practically speaking, this means that all aspects of body life must conform to His will and standard as found in the Scriptures, including (and especially) church leadership. At Pleasant Valley Bible Church, we affirm God’s plan for pastoral leadership in the local church, which is a team of godly, gifted, tenderhearted, biblically-qualified men called elders (1 Timothy 3:1-13, 1 Peter 5:1-5). As those who have been entrusted by the Lord Jesus with authority to lead the flock and direct the affairs of the church, elders must do so as servants of Christ and of the people of God, following in the footsteps of the Good Shepherd.
